Driving Through Mission BC

and you're not sure what the neighbourhoods actually look like, I've got something for you. I took my car — and my co-pilot Levi — out for a drive through some of Mission's best family neighbourhoods and filmed the whole thing so you could see it for yourself.

This isn't a polished production. It's just me driving through real neighbourhoods, talking about what I see — the homes, the lot sizes, how old the houses are, what's nearby, and what you can realistically expect to pay. Most of what we cover in this tour falls in the $800,000 to $1.2 million range, which is where a lot of families landing in Mission end up shopping.

We start on the west side of Mission on Hurd Street, drive through the Wellness District near Mission Memorial Hospital, past Centennial Park through the heart of the city, out through the College Heights area and all the way east to Stave Lake Road, wrapping up at Heritage Park.

Along the way I give you my honest take on each area — what the neighbourhood feels like, who tends to live there, and whether it might be the right fit for your family.

Mission has become one of the most popular destinations for families relocating from the Lower Mainland. You get more space, more house for your money, and a genuine community feel that's hard to find closer to Vancouver. It's not for everyone — but for the right family it's exactly what they've been looking for.
